Automated intercom button test
The Jacques Self-Test Button (STB) – a call button that allows for remote testing of the push button mechanism, acoustics and data communications whereby diagnostic tests are logged and recorded on the system controller. Any tests reporting a test fail triggers an alarm within the system.

The system utilises smart recording whereby multiple audio streams are recorded and logged. Audio recording at each master station ensures all communication between intercom & master station is recorded. Recordings are tamper proof and can be accessed remotely with appropriate user access.

Cutting-edge diagnostic and health monitoring features that provide real-time, 24/7 reporting on over 320 critical events, including configuration, call activity, device health, system health, and faults. The system controller continuously sends heartbeat signals to endpoints every 5 seconds, providing immediate visibility into any potential issues and ensuring that problems are quickly detected and addressed. Configurable event triggers
“If this, then that”. Smart logic
The system allows triggering events with intercom or system events such as CCTV switching, light control, door release, message announcement, night call diversion (based on time), and alarm scheduling. The main features of the Event Controller are:
- handling of CCTV intercom-activated-video (IAV) and audio-follow-video (AFV) functions
- highly configurable rules to match system events,
- simultaneous event triggers,
- alarms and device off-line events,
- interfaces to external third party equipment, including but not limited to:
Standard Modbus/TCP server and client, Inner Range Concept 4000 Equipment & OPC
Auto-forward to external phone
The system is also capable of diverting an intercom call to an external phone under certain, configurable conditions. For Example: After hour calls from external intercom door station to phone number (remote police station door intercom called. Call is auto-forwarded to another manned police station via SIP trunk) Intercom call is forwarded to a patrolling security officer’s phone when they are away from their officer station (ie. the security officer master station is on remote).

Audio volume trigger
The system provides threshold monitoring whereby a call is automatically connected or an alarm notification is activated, should a predetermined ambient noise level be exceeded at any configured intercom endpoint.
Remove extraneous noise for crystal-clear audio
Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) software is a critical tool for improving the clarity and comprehension of monitored prison cell conversations. The software operates on audio streams obtained from the intercom device, eliminating unwanted background noise such as background music (BGM) from the IP Communication System. As the audio is streamed, the AEC samples it and removes any extraneous sounds, leaving only the cell conversation for clear, effortless operator monitoring.
Interference-free audio
An Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) engine is a powerful solution for achieving clear, interference-free audio. When operated in full duplex mode, the engine effectively eliminates unwanted echoes and feedback caused by acoustic reflections, resulting in superior audio quality.
Silence persitant callers
With the ability to isolate calls from nuisance callers who persistently press the intercom call button, you can ensure warranted callers can get their call answered. Isolated calls can be manually deisolated or a global time-out can be configured.
